Vanderbilt’s Coach Bobby Johnson Retires
Vanderbilt's football coach Bobby Johnson, 59 years old, announced his retirement due to personal decisions.
Bobby Johnson said about his retirement:
"Football is not life, but it's a way of life and it consumes your life. You only have so many years to live, and you want to see a different way."
Johnson's retirement comes just 2 months before teh season opener. He admitted that it was a tough decision to make:
"Believe me, there's not a great time for a college football coach to retire. This is the way we worked it out. It was a hard decision when to do it and where to do it."
Yunel Escobar for Alex Gonzalez Trade
The Braves have recently traded Yunel Escobar for Alex Gonzalez.
Yunel Escobar, who's been going through a slump, is going to the Blue Jays as Gonzalez returns to the Braves.
General Manager Frank Wren stated that Gonzalez is “an outstanding shortstop” and a “very dangerous hitter.”
Bret Michaels Engaged to Kristi Lynn Gibson?
Bret Michaels recently clarified on CBS "The Early Show" that he is NOT engaged.
Bret Michaels and Kristi Lynn Gibson have been dating on and off for nearly 16 years and have 2 children together and after his recent brain hemorrhage many tabloids believed that the changed man was ready to be a husband. But Bret Michaels isn't thinking about marriage yet.
Kristi Lynn Gibson was seen sporting a ring recently but Michaels clarified saying, "[It's] a promise ring ... a friendship ring, with benefits," Michaels said. "That's what we call it."
Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston ENGAGED
Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are now officially engaged and shared the news on Us Weekly but not with her mom Sarah Palin!
Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston had previously broken up but Bristol blames it on her mom saying that if she had not been a VP candidate they split would have never happened.
Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have an 18 month old son together, Tripp.

Miguel Medina and Kristin Cavallari Dating!
Kristin Cavallari recently revealed that she is dating Miguel Medina, cameraman for The Hills.
Cavallari said:
"Yeah, I'm currently dating [Miguel] and that all I'm going to say about that."
Kristin Cavallari has dated many high-profile guys, so why did she pick Miguel?
Kristin explains:
"Well, when you're together all the time, you're close, and it just sorta happens."

Mayor Jayne Peters and Daughter Found Dead
In a gruesome crime seen, Texas Mayor Jayne Peters and her teenage daughter where found shot dead in their home.
Police are no investigating in what they believe is a murder-suicide. City of Coppell Mayor Jayne Peters, 55 years old, and her daughter Corrine Peters, 19, where both found with gunshots in their heads.
Police arrived at their home after Mayor Peters missed a meeting and council members began to worry. There was no evidence of forced entry which is why they believe it was a murder-suicide.
No one knows why this happened as both the Mayor and her daughter where active in their community and church. Peter's husband passed away in 2008 from cancer.
For now the investigation is still ongoing and we will keep you updated.
