Jancy Thompson Suing USA Swimming for Sexual Abuse
Jancy Thompson is tired of hiding, after 5 years of enduring sexual abuse from her swim Coach Norman Havercroft, she is suing the governing body of U.S. competitive swimming and her former coach for sexual abuse.
Jancy Thompson, now 28, claims that her swim coach Havercroft, sexually abused her when she was 15 and it lasted for 5 years. The suit also claims the the US Swimming group new about this situation but did nothing to help.
Like many other sexual abuse victims, Thompson was afraid to come out. Currently she is a graduate from the police academy and she has decided to speak publicly about her horrible experience with US Swimming along with her attorney Robert Allard.
Jancy Thompson said, "I was robbed of my childhood and never performed to my full capabilities. I want to ensure that no one has to endure what I went through and carry such a burden the rest of their lives."
