Boy Survives Stingray Barb (VIDEO)

10 year old Quentin Tokar fought for his life after a stingray barb flew in the air and stabbed him in the stomach.

Quentin Tokar fortunately survived and appeared on the TODAY show with a t-shirt that said, "Just Take Your Best Shot".

The attack was similar to what had killed Steve Irwin known back then as the "Crocodile Hunter".

Tokar's parents, Peter and Candace Tokar, said that they are lucky that a a nurse was on scene and helped Quentin until the paramedics came.

Quentin and his family had traveled to Outer Banks, N.C which is where the attack occurred. When the sting ray pierced into his stomach his father's first reaction was to pull it out but fortunately a nurse was nearby and yelled "No, don't pull it out!" and helped the family.

At the hospital doctors removed the barb and Quentin stayed there for 4 days. However later on Quentin suffered an infection from the bacteria that came from the stingray's barb so after treating the infection Quentin was finally released from the hospital 10 days after the event.
