Fisher Price Recall 2010 – Details
The famous kids brand Fisher Price of Mattel Inc. has initiated a massive recall of over 10 millions toys.
The Fisher Price toys have been recalled by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Within the recall are several toys such as tricycles, toy cars, high chairs and play zones because they can cause dangerous falls and choking.

Injuries have already been reported. Pegs that fall out of products have caused children to fall or pieces where small enough that they where found in the child's mouth. Seven children even required stitches.

No matter which company manufacturers your children’s toys, it is extremely important for parents and adults to check out the toys they buy.
Test them. Play with them. Look for ways they can cause problems.
Tug on small parts to see if they could come off.
Drop them on the ground to see if anything jars loose.
Watch your child play with the toys over an extended period to get a good idea of how they use the toy. Even so-called “safe” toys can be dangerous when used incorrectly.
Talk to other parents. If you know someone else who has the toy, ask about their experience.
New Earthlike Planet Found! Is there life?
Astronomers have found a new planet which they believe is Earthlike and could contain life. Many astronomers refer to this as the Goldilocks zone for life. It's not too hot and not too cold, it's just right for liquid water.
Co-discoverer R. Paul Butler said, "This really is the first Goldilocks planet."
Scientist now believe that the new planet is a the best option for harboring life.
The new planet is said to be larger than Earth and much closer to it's star (compared to distance between Earth and Sun). Because of this it orbits in just 37 days and rotates very slowly so one side is almost either always bright or dark for long periods of time.
Gliese 581G is around 20 light years away from Earth's solar system.
The discovery was made by R. Paul Butler and Steven Vogt from the University of California. They clarify that their discovery doesn't mean that there is life on this planet, but instead that new life can be introduced and keep going.
Rutgers Student Tyler Clementi Suicide
Tyler Clementi committed suicide by jumping off the George Washington Bridge after he had been taped and "outed" against his will.
Clementi was taped without his consent having a sexual encounter in his dorm room, with a man. 2 Rutgers students are now being charged with invasion of privacy.
Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei are the students who are being charged for having taped Clementi and later placing the tape on the internet.
Clementi had updated his Facebook on September 22 at 8:42 PM saying:
"Jumping off the gw bridge sorry."
Our condolences go out to Tyler Clementi's family and friends.
Molly Wei and Dharun Ravi Caused Rutgers Student Suicide?
A freshman student at Rutgers University is believed to have committed suicide after discovering that he had been filmed having a sexual encounter with another man.
Molly Wei and Dharun Ravi, both 18 years old, are being charged with invasion of privacy after they placed a secret camera in Tyler Clementi's bedroom and later posting the footage of the sexual encounter on the internet.
Police are now investigating to see if the suicide of Clementi was caused by Wei and Ravi's invasion of his privacy and for posting the video online.

Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies Confirmed!
Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty Black Ops will have a zombie mode!
The zombie mode was also seen in 2008's Call of Duty: World at War.
Mark Lamia, head of studio Treyarch said:
"We've taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans."
The Call of Duty Black Ops zombie mode only makes fans more excited for the upcoming release of the game which is set for November 9, 2010.

Colton Tooley Identified as UT Shooter
According to recent reports the gunman that opened fire today at the University of Texas was student Colton Tooley.
Colton Tooley, 19, was a mathematics sophomore at UT. Police are now investigating the home of Tooley in South Austin.
There is still no information as to what the motive of the UT shooting was.
Tooley was wearing a dark suit and ski mask when he fired several rounds from an AK-47 rifle at the University of Texas campus.
UT Shooting UPDATE
The University of Texas shooting is over and students have been given the "all clear" to resume activities.
According to news reports, the gunman was a student at UT but his name is not being released. The gunman died by taking his own life.
As police shot 4 rounds the gunman escaped. He ran to the 6th floor and shot himself. The gunman never fired back at the police.
Police believed there was a second gunman but later said that there is no evidence of a second gunman.
Police are now investigating the motive behind the shooting.

RIM (Research in Motion) announce the new Playbook that will be competing with Apple's iPad.
The Playbook looks a lot like the iPad and some have even named it "Blackberry iPad" or "BlackPad".
The Blackberry Playbook won't be on sale until 2011 which is why the official price has not been released yet, but what is an estimate price for the Playbook?

The iPad comes in several different models (some with 3G capabilities and more storage capacity) that range from around $500 to $800. Some price experts have argued that $300 to $350 is the “sweet spot” for the PlayBook.

University of Texas Shooting
A gunman entered the library of the University of Texas in Austin today wearing a ski mask and carrying a rifle. University officials say that he fired several shots and then took his own life.
Police are still in search of a possible second gunman and the campus is on lock down. Students where alerted via email and test message at 8 AM Central Time asking them to remain where they where.
