Michael Douglas – How Bad is His Throat Cancer?
Actor Michael Douglass has revealed that he has stage 4 throat cancer after an interview on the Late Show with David Letterman.

As Douglass pronounced the words Stage 4, the audience gasped, but how bad is stage 4 throat cancer? Will this cost Douglass his voice?
Michael Douglass, 65, said that doctor gave him an estimated survival rate of 80%. While Stage 4 cancers is advanced, there are many categories within this stage. The tumor can be big in size and have extended to other tissues or the tumor can be small but spread into the lymph nodes and neck.
Douglass said that his doctors told him that the cancer had NOT spread to other parts of his body and that his throat cancer is treatable as he is currently being administered chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
His wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, commented that she wish they had caught the cancer earlier, however in Douglass' case, the tumor was will hidden under the base of his tongue.
