Recent Oil Rig Explosion in Gulf of Mexico DETAILS
The New York Times reported today that there has been another oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico.

The recent oil rig explosion is east of the Deepwater Horizon rig which is the one that exploded in April, known as the BP Oil Spill.

The oil rig explosion was reported by the US Coast Guard this morning however it is not clear as to how much oil is leaking.
All crew members are reported to be ok and where rescued by nearby civilian boats. The platform involved in this oil explosion is named Vermillion 398 and is owned by Mariner Energy.
