Baby Formula Similac Recall 2010

An estimated 5 million contains of Similac infant formula is being recalled by drug maker Abbott Laboratories after worries that it may be contaminated with insect parts.

The voluntary recall affects Similac baby formulas sold in the U.S, Puerto Rico, Guam and a few of the Caribbean countries.

According to the company, the contamination may consist of a small beetle or larvae. If a child where to ingest this it could cause stomach aches and digestive problems.

The Similac Recall 2010 is only for the powdered formula. Liquid or any other type of products from Abbott Laboratories are not infected.
