UT Shooting UPDATE
The University of Texas shooting is over and students have been given the "all clear" to resume activities.
According to news reports, the gunman was a student at UT but his name is not being released. The gunman died by taking his own life.
As police shot 4 rounds the gunman escaped. He ran to the 6th floor and shot himself. The gunman never fired back at the police.
Police believed there was a second gunman but later said that there is no evidence of a second gunman.
Police are now investigating the motive behind the shooting.
