Peruvian Auther Mario Vargas Llosa Wins Nobe Prize

The Swedish Academy awarded Peruvian author Mario Vargas Llosa with the Nobel Prize in literature today.

The academy stated that the Literature Nobel Prize was award to Llosa because of "his cartography of structures of power and his trenchant images of the individuals resistance, revolt, and defeat."

Mario Vargas Llosa, 74, said he wasn't expecting the award but it is a pleasant surprise.

Currently Mario Vargas Llosa is teaching two courses in Princeton University. Some of his well known novels are "The Green House" and "The War of the End of the World".
