Octopus Paul Died Today
His latest popular prediction was of Spain winning the soccer World Cup but now his predicting days are over. Paul the Octopus passed away in Germany due to natural causes.
Octopus Paul was 2 1/2 years old and he died in his tank at the Sea Life aquarium, Germany. "El Pulpo Paul" became very popular in Spain and thousands of soccer fans after his recent prediction on the World Cup winner.
Stefan Porwoll, Sea Life manager, said about Paul's death:
"We may decide to give Paul his own small burial plot within our grounds, and erect a modest permanent shrine."
