How to Fix Error: “Launcher Cannot Obtain Patching Information WOW”
WOW players have recently reported a frustrating error: "Launcher Cannot Obtain Patching Information", how can you fix this error?
Players are swarming forums with ideas and suggestions to fix the error. Some are reporting that WoW is down for maintenance. This maintenance will be going on from 3:00 PT / 6:00 EST to 11:00 EST PST / 2:00.
The following solution seems to be providing solutions for the majority of players:
- Please remove any custom proxy settings.
- Go into Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options> Connections> LAN settings and make sure that you Select
- Automatically Detect settings.
- And make sure that you have Use Automatic configuration Script and Use a Proxy server not checked.
- If this doesn’t work, renewing your IP address and flushing your DNS cache can often help resolve connection issues.

ive tried every wow forum thread for about 3 hours …and then while browsing thru google i clicked your post and did it. and now it works .
