Gardena High School Shooting, An Accident?
Today two students where wounded at the Gardena High School shooting in Los Angeles, California, but was it all an accident?
An unidentified 17 year old boy had hidden a gun in his backpack, a 9-mm Beretta handgun. During class as he set his backpack down the gun began to discharge buy accident and wounded two 15 year old students.
One of the students was injured in the head and the other in the neck. Both students where taken to Harbor UCLA Medical Center. The girl that suffered the head injury underwent surgery and is in critical condition. The boy with the neck injury is said to be stable.
Police are now investigating the situation and believe that the two injuries may have been caused by one bullet.
The student who brought the gun to school is now under custody. His classmates say that he is not violent but instead had brought the gun to school because he was scared of the gangs he encounters when taking the bus home.
