Esperanza Spalding Wins Best New Artist at 2011 Grammy’s
Justin Bieber and fans where not happy when Esperanza Spalding won the Grammy for Best New Artist, mostly teenage girls. Spalding, 26, has been making headlines in the jazz world with her jazz/chamber music and singing and much of the older crowd (not teenage girls) think that she deserves this win.
Spalding graduated from the Berklee Academy of Music at the age of 20. She was picked by President Obamat o perform at the White House as well as the Oslo City Hall where he accepted his Nobel Prize in 2009.
Esperanza Spalding commented about her Grammy win:
"I feel really lucky that I got to be acknowledged on this stage in front of so many people who hopefully will get to experience my music, and I got there by doing what's really dear to my heart."
Lady Gaga New Song: Born This Way
Lady Gaga released her new song "Born This Way" few days earlier, she will be performing her new song on Sunday at the Grammys.
Lady Gaga is up for awards this year and her new album will be released on May 23. So far many are saying that Gaga's new song will live up to Madonna's "Express Yourself" or maybe even surpass it.

The White Stripes Break Up
Jack and Meg White of the "White Stripes" have officially announced that they are no longer a band.
The duo said on their website:
“The White Stripes do not belong to Meg and Jack anymore. The White Stripes belong
to you now and you can do with it whatever you want. The beauty of art and music is
that it can last forever if people want it to. Thank you for sharing this experience. Your involvement will never be lost on us and we are truly grateful.”
Jack has been busy with his 2 other bands, Dead Weather and the Raconteurs as well as Third Man which is his record label. Jack and Meg where once married but later divorced.

For all those interested in going to Coachella 2011, the lineup has been officially released! Find out who will be performing and who won't be coming back.
Daft Punk will NOT be at Coachella this year, but on the lineup is The Black Keys, Kings of Leon, Duran Duran, Strokes, Chemical Brothers among others.

A special news update to all our readers from Jacksonville, Florida. Planet Radio 107.3 has been changed to Magic 107.3.
Planet Radio 107.3, owned by Clear Channel, has changed their name to Magic 107.3.
The Jacksonville radio surprised their daily listeners who tuned in to the Lex and Terry morning show and thought they where listening to the wrong radio station!
The name switch is said to have been changed to make it more appealing to families. Magic 107.3 will play classic hits from the 70's and 80's such as Motown, Beach Boys, Rod Stewart, KC and so on.
Planet Radio 107.3 was struggling with their new rock radio station and decided to make the change to a different audience that enjoys relaxing music to ease off the stress! RIP Planet Radio 107.3!

Lady GaGa keeps bringing new music and videos to the scene and now she recently released a new music video for her hit song "Alejandro".
Lady GaGa says that the video is a "celebration and an admiration of gay love." Gaga was on Larry King Live debuting a 20 second trailer of the Alejandro music video.

Lollapalooza 2010 Lineup
The Lollapalooza 2010 Lineup list has been released!
Included in the Lollapalooza 2010 Lineup are Lady GaGa, Soundgarden, Green Day and Erykah Badu just to name a few of the 120 artists total that will take the stage.
Lollapalooza 2010 is a 3 day festival that will take plan at Chicago's Grant Park on August 6, 7 and 8th.
