This Monday Letitia A. Long has been promoted as director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

This is the first time that a woman receives this position in the U.S as a leader of an intelligence agency. Long's position was made official at a ceremony in the agencies half-built campus in Springfield, Virginia.
Letitia A. Long has a 32 year career behind her. But what exactly is the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency up to? They are working on a mapping operation to use satellite imagery to create interactive 3D maps worldwide.
Media Matters “Out of Context” Ordeal
Media Matters is being accused of taking Glenn Beck's sidekicks out of context with bad clip editing.
According to Media Matters headline, Glenn Beck's co-hosts where holding Keith Olbermann responsible for the Manchester shooting. Their headline read: “Beck sidekicks Gray and Burguiere: Keith Olberman and media responsible for Manchester shooting.”
So why did Media Matters put that headline, because it IS what was said but not entirely. Gray did say, “Obviously Keith Olbermann is responsible for those eight people dead.”
To which Berguiere added, "A guy like that who’s a little bit unstable anyway can’t help but react to the constant pressure of Keith Olbermann on the air on MSNBC and all of MSNBC talking about all the racism there is out there.”
The matter at hand is that both co-hosts where being sarcastic to make a point. Moments later they get serious and continue saying, "Keith Olbermann was not responsible for any shooting," but of course Media Matters forgot to include that part.
Since then Media Matters has updated their post, stating the following:
CORRECTION: The original headline on this clip did not make clear that Beck’s co-hosts were being satirical when they linked MSNBC host Keith Olbermann to the Manchester shooting. The original clip also did not include their subsequent statements that Olbermann was not responsible for the shooting. Media Matters regrets the error.

Ohio Unemployment Rate (CHART) Help to Avoid Foreclosure
As the Ohio unemployment rate continues to rise so does foreclosure problems. The Treasury Department recently approved $600 million to help jobless homeowners in 5 states including Ohio, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhone Island and South Carolina.
As more home owners lose their jobs they struggle to pay monthly mortgage payments and are at risk of home foreclosure.
The Treasury has now approved the following amounts for each state:
Ohio - $172 Million
North Carolina - $159 Million
South Carolina - $138 Million
Oregon - $88 Million
Rhone Island - $43 Million
The approved $600 million is estimated to help nearly 500,000 home owners. This aid will be received by housing finances agencies who will carry out the programs to locals.
Ohio will help jobless borrowers pay their mortgage for up to 12 months so they have time to look for work.
Aids to help the unemployed has been on the rise as many are about to lose their home to foreclosure. The U.S unemployment rate was 9.5% in June and it is expected to grow to 9.6% in July.
U.S Struggles with Unemployment and Michelle Obama Goes on Vacation
Michelle Obama is enjoying her stay in Spain at a 5 star resort along with 40 friends and also a Hotel Villa Padierna where room prices range from $500 to $2,500 a night.
The White House said that Michelle Obama is on a "private trip" and that "she is a private citizen and is the mother of a daughter on a private trip. And I think I'd leave it at that." So do private citizens also get the Secret Service accompanying them on a private trip?
At a time where the U.S is struggling to improve the unemployment situation, Michelle Obama doesn't mind spending thousands in her private vacation. She is also using the government plane and Secret Service resources as well.
New York Daily News writer Andrea Tantaros also criticized Michelle Obama's recent vacation referring to her as a "modern day Maria Antoinett" on her glitzy Spanish vacation.
Of course, many argue that Michelle Obama is not the first First Lady to go on an expensive vacation. This is the first controversy that the current First Lady is facing.
Remodeled Santa Mocina Place Mall Re-Opens Today!
The Santa Monica Place mall shut down in 2008 due to remodeling and today it has re-opened!
Thousands of shoppers filled Santa Monica Place mall today. The old mall design by Frank Gehry will forever be immortalized in movies such as Terminator 2 and Fast Times and Ridgemont High.
The new design has no roof and changed the interior to integrate the nearby beach. The renovations cost $265 million.
Thousands came to the re-opening of the mall because they where handing out gift cards in valued from $10 to $500.
The new Santa Monica Place mall has 6 fine dining restaurants and a brand new food court as well. Owners aim to make the mall a culinary destination.
NTSB Investigation School Bus Crash in Missouri
The tragic school bus crash in Missouri left 2 people dead, one of them was a student. Now the NTSB is investigating the crash.
The NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) are looking for ways to make school buses safer.
A 15 year old Jessica Brinker was killed in the crash, along with Daniel Schatz, 19, a pickup driver.
Students from John F. Hodge High School where on their way to the Six Flags par in St. Louis when the accident occurred. Now the NTSB is interested in learning what caused the accident.

Today begins the 2010 Tax Free weekend in NC. Save money on many items, especially back to school supplies, sports equipment, computers and more!
Tax Free weekend in NC began midnight Thursday and will last all the way up to midnight Sunday, August 8th.

Missing Child Isaak Glen Found
5 year old Isaak Glen was reported missing north of Florence but today he was found.
Isaak Benjamin Glenn had come from Veneta to Carl G. Washburne Memorial State Park and was last seen playing with other kids there.
Oregon State Police went in search of Isaak but today two men who where driving near a dirt road by Big Creek, which is north of the campground, found Isaak Glenn at around 1PM.
Isaak Glen is now back with his family and doesn't seem to have any injuries but will be examined by doctors.
Fox 2 News Reports Bus Crash in St. Louis
Fox 2 News reported today on the devastating tractor trailer and school bus crash in St.Louis.
Reports so far say that 2 people are dead and nearly 50 injured. The two school buses where carrying children who where going on a field trip to Six Flags amusement park. The bus crash occurred at around 10AM near Gray Summit, MO.
The 2 people killed in the crash was a driver and a student. The school buses where segregated by gender, reports Fox 2 News, the boys and girls on separate buses. The remaining children where all taken to nearby hospitals and reports say that the majority are in stable conditions or with minor injuries.
Facebook Reveals Husband’s 2nd Wedding
Lynn France didn't have to hire a private detective to find out about her husbands 2nd marriage, all she had to do is log-in to Facebook.

Lynn France typed in the name of the women she believed her husband was having an affair with only to be shocked to find all the pictures of her husbands 2nd wedding on Facebook.
Lynn France and John France married in 2005 on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. There wedding event was organized through Regency San Marino, a service that is well known for weddings in Italy.
After discovering his second marriage, John France claims that he never married Lynn legally! Even worse John took their 2-year old son forcibly without her consent and now she can only see her son through photos on Facebook where John and his new wife live in Florida.
Lynn France is now among attorneys and custoy disputes to get her son back and complete her divorce.
