Steve Jobs Stanford Commencement Speech Video (2005)
After the recent death of Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs, many recall his past today and one of his great moments was his "Stanford Commencement Speech" from June 12, 2005 that he delivered to the Stanford University graduates of 2005. Watch the video below.
One of my favorite quotes from this speech is:
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on.”

Apple Confirms Steve Jobs Is DEAD
Sad news this evening, Steve Jobs is dead, he was 56 years old. You probably already know who Steve Jobs is, the co-founder of Apple.
His family and Apple have released a statement today confirming the death of Steve Jobs.
Apple posted the following:
Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

And Steven Job's family released this statement:
Steve died peacefully today surrounded by his family.
In his public life, Steve was known as a visionary; in his private life, he cherished his family. We are thankful to the many people who have shared their wishes and prayers during the last year of Steve’s illness; a website will be provided for those who wish to offer tributes and memories.
We are grateful for the support and kindness of those who share our feelings for Steve. We know many of you will mourn with us, and we ask that you respect our privacy during our time of grief.
Even the President of the U.S, Barack Obama, sent his condolences via twitter saying: "Rest in peace, Steve Jobs. From all of us at #Obama2012, thank you for the work you make possible every day—including ours."
Why did Steve Jobs die or how did he die? It was known that Jobs was battling cancer and he had a liver transplant 2 years ago. At the beginning of this year Steve Jobs continued to have a health problems and took time off and only recently he resigned as CEO to become Apple's chairman and giving the CEO thrown to Tum Cook.

Apple Sues New Amazon App Store
Amazon has launched their new app store that is similar to iTunes but offers Android apps instead. Apple is not happy and they will sue.
Apple has opened a lawsuit against Amazon claiming that the name infringed on their trademark. Google isn't pleased about the grand opening of the Amazon app store because it also means competition for them.
Reviews are already up about the new online app store and many like the "test drive" feature that it offers as well as the free app-of-the-day promotion.

Apple doesn't like people to tamper with their stuff which is why the use special pentalobe screws, but now anyone can open up their iPhone with this new information.
Mozilla Calls Google, EVIL!
Asa Dotzler of Mozilla asked Google, Microsoft and Apple to "stop being evil."
Dotzler is angry with these companies for installing their software plug-ins in Firefox without their permission.
Dotzler wrote on his blog:
"What makes Google think it's reasonable behavior for them to slip a Google Update plug-in into Firefox when I installed Google Earth or Google Chrome (not sure which one caused this) without asking me first?" This is not OK behavior. I downloaded and installed a specific application from these vendors intending to have only that application installed, and without my consent that application foisted additional software on me [...}] Microsoft, stop being evil. Apple, stop being evil. Google, stop being evil.
Apple Magic Trackpad Unveiled
Apple has released the Magic Trackpad which allows Mac Pro and iMac to have a touchpad with bluetooth connectivity,multi-touch powers and gestures.

Basically the entire Magic Trackpad is like a large button and can replaced a mouse. The sizing and angle has been made exactly like the Apple wireless keyboard so you can place them side-by-side. The product was first though to be a mac rumor but here it is!
Since the Magic Trackpad is battery powered, Apple has also released their first battery charger that comes with 6 AA batteries.
So how much is the Apple Magic Trackpad? You can buy of for $69 USD at the Apple Store.
Incase Snap Case iPhone 4

The iPhone 4 Case Program began this morning. For all those who have been waiting for Steve Jobs promise of free cases the iPhone 4 Case Program will allow you to request your case and you have several choices among which is the Incase Snap Case iPhone 4.
To get started you can download the program over at http://www.itunes.com/iphone4_case_program. The program checks your serial number and allows you to pick from 7 cases.
One of the options to choose from is the incase snap case iPhone 4. This case was selling for $30 and is a popular option as it is a simple design. Apple is offering the Incase Snap in 2 colors, smoke and clear. This is the only case that offers 2 color choices. Many aren't to happy that the other models don't have color options.

Other models on the list are Speck’s PixelSkin HD, Griffin’s Reveal Etch, Griffin’s Motif, Speck’s Fitted Case, Belkin Shield Micra for iPhone 4 and Apple Bumper Case for iPhone 4.
15 Yr Old Tricks Apple with Tethering App
15 year old Nick Lee managed to trick Apple by creating a tethering application disguised as a flashlight application.
What is tethering? Tethering allows you to use your cell phone signal to get Wi-Fi on your laptops so you can go online. Usualy this isn't free, in fact AT&T charges $20 a month to get this feature. However Nick Lee found out how to get it for free!
Nick Lee created an application called "Handy Light" which was basically a program that made the screen white or any color so you could use your iPhone as a flashlight.
However inside the app there was a hidden code that would make it into a tethering application. By activating this option you could easily surf on the internet completely free.
If you have "Handy Light" downloaded you can continue to enjoy the tethering option for free, but unfortunately Apple found out about Nick Lee's scheme and it is no longer available to download at the Apple Store. 
Maybe Nick Lee or anyone elses wants to make another app with the hidden tethering option?
Steve Jobs Calls Jony Ive On New iPhone 4 Release Date
As reported earlier today, Apple announced the new iPhone 4 at the WWDC 2010 conference.
To demonstrate the new iPhone 4 at the WWDC 2010, Steve Jobs called Jony Ive, who is Apples chief designer. So now you will no longer get misinterpreted by the other side because of lack of facial expressions!
So when can you get your hands on one of these babies? The iPhone 4 release date has been set for June 25th and you can already get details of the iPhone 4 at the redesigned site http://www.apple.com/iphone/
The new iPhone 4 is claimed to be "the world’s thinnest Smartphone and the most specific and stunning thing ever designed."
Some of the things the iPhone 4 features is stainless steal, 5 megapixel front camera with LED flash, high definition video recording, just to name a few.
The price tag will be $299 for the 32GB, $199 for the 16 GB and $99 for the 8GB.
New Macbook Pro Released
Apple has released the new Macbook Pro with 15 and 17 inch displays and that come with Intel Core i5 and i7 processors.
There are 4 standard model. The most affordable option is the 15 inch model that comes with 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 for US$1,799. All of the models come with a standard 4GB RAM memory and to upgrade to 8GB it costs $400. For another $50 you can get the antiglare version.
